Clontarf FC invites applications for the position of Head Coach for the Women’s Section.
Clontarf FC is a well-established community club based on the north side of Dublin with a proud rugby tradition and a strong commitment to the development of women’s rugby. The club currently fields two Women’s teams competing in the Leinster League, and following a fantastic league campaign, the 1st XV has recently secured promotion to Division 1, reflecting the strength and ambition of the group.
The club has a strong and expanding girls’ pathway, with Mini Girls starting from age 5 and youth teams operating at U12, U14, U16 and U18, providing a clear pathway for players progressing into senior rugby.
Training takes place twice weekly (Mondays and Wednesdays), with matches played on Sundays throughout the season.
Clontarf FC has excellent facilities including a new gym, all-weather 4G playing pitch, grass pitch, and a dedicated video analysis room with access to Hudl, providing an outstanding environment for training, player development and performance review.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the coaching and management team across both women’s squads
- Plan and deliver weekly training programmes
- Prepare teams for competitive fixtures and oversee match selection
- Support the development of players within the club’s pathway
- Work collaboratively with youth and senior coaches to strengthen the women’s programme
This is a paid, part-time position.
Desired Experience
• IRFU Senior Coach Award (or equivalent)
• Experience coaching at a high level (e.g. Energia AIL) desirable but not essential
• Proven experience developing players and improving squads
• Player-coach applications welcome
