CAPTAIN’S

MESSAGE

It is an absolute privilege to be named as Club Captain of Clontarf FC this season.

Since joining the Club everyone involved has made Clontarf feel like a home away from home for  both my family and myself. To be named as captain is an honour that I cannot describe in words, but I look forward to the role immensely and hope to lead the senior squad in a fashion fitting for such a great club.

This year is made all the more special as we celebrate the 10 year anniversary since Clontarf’s first AIL trophy. As a squad we hope that we can mark the special occasion by going one step further than last season and as captain I hope to build on the fantastic precedent set out by Matt over the past few seasons, both on and off the pitch, to represent the Club to the highest standard.

On behalf of all players in the Club, I would like to thank Willis Towers Watson, our main Club Sponsors, along with Clontarf Castle, MSL, Ryan and Lamb, Mason Hayes & Curran, Stafford’s Undertakers and Nolan’s Supermarket. Your support is invaluable to the Club and we hope to continue these great relationships for many years to come. It has been great to see so many sponsors down supporting and enjoying the Club every week and we hope this continues this season. The community spirit in Clontarf is unrivalled and is part of what makes the Club such a special place. It will be a key factor in the group’s ongoing success.

Lastly, to the supporters and volunteers, you are the backbone of the Club. Without the work you do, we cannot succeed at senior level. Your support and efforts result in the high calibre of home-grown players in the Club. I would like to thank you all for making this Club what it is and hopefully we can give you something to cheer about this season.

Looking forward to weekends in the Bullring once more. Dylan.
