New and returning players are always very welcome to youth rugby at Clontarf, whether or not they have played rugby before.
Details of matches, schedule changes and any additional training sessions will be notified by email & Teamer. Please refer regularly to these platforms, particularly during periods of bad weather when it may be necessary to advise of schedule changes at short notice.
All players must be registered as a Clontarf member and also with the IRFU to train and play for insurance purposes.
The Club has a strict policy on the type of footwear that may be worn on the 4G pitch (where most of our training and home matches take place). This applies to players and coaches. Only boots with screw in studs (metal or plastic) or round molded studs may be worn. Blades and runners are prohibited. Please bear this in mind if buying boots for the new season.

Check your boots regularly, particularly studs. Metal studs are the best option but check for worn or sharpened studs. Failure to do so can result in nasty injuries. Referees will check studs and if they are sharp or dangerous then the player will not be allowed to play. Plastic/molded studs should also be checked. It is the responsibility of player/parent or guardian to ensure the above is complied with. Players identified with muddy or damaged boots
