Community Comes Together for the Clontarf Bulls

There are some parts of a rugby club that go well beyond the results on a weekend, and the Clontarf Bulls are the perfect example of that.

Last week, the brilliant staff at Graingers Pebble Beach in Clontarf hosted a quiz night in support of the Clontarf Bulls, and it’s safe to say it was a huge success. With the help of quizmasters Andrew Trimble and Barry Murphy – who kept the questions (and the craic!) flowing – the night brought a great crowd together for a really good cause.

By the end of it all, an incredible €3,500 had been raised for the Bulls.

Mark Grainger officially presented the funds to the team last Sunday, a moment that meant a lot to everyone involved and a great reflection of the support behind this team!

A brilliant moment for the Bulls - Mark Grainger of the Pebble Beach, Clontarf, presents a cheque to Club President Austin Foxe, after a hugley successful fundraising night.

The Clontarf Bulls are a hugely important part of our club – an additional needs team that represents everything that’s good about rugby: inclusion, community, and enjoyment of the game. The energy they bring, both on and off the pitch, is something special, and it’s brilliant to see that recognised and supported.

The fundraising doesn’t stop there either.

This weekend, at our final senior men’s AIL league fixture against St. Mary’s, we’ll be holding a bucket collection in support of the Bulls as they prepare for their upcoming tour to the Wooden Spoon Festival in Coventry on June 20.

If you’re heading down to Castle Avenue, please give what you can – every little bit helps and goes directly towards giving the team a fantastic tour experience.

Plenty of rugby is still to be played this season, but moments like this are a reminder of what the club is really about.
