CAPTAIN’S

MESSAGE

It is an absolute honour to captain Clontarf FC in our 150th season. After a successful 2025/26 season, unfortunately falling at the final hurdle to a very strong St Mary’s team. However, we were successful in capturing the Bateman Cup for the first time in the clubs history. The squad and myself are looking forward to another great year for the club and will be looking to build on the success of the previous few years. With the vast majority of last year’s squad still in place, with a couple of exciting additions, with others progressing from our U20 and J1 squad, and, with the support of the club and its members, we are relishing this opportunity.

I would like to congratulate the outgoing U20s group on their amazing year (I have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming a large contingent of that group to the senior squad), U17 boys, the J4s, the over 35s and the women’s J1s on their various league and cup wins last season.

Congratulations to outgoing President Austin Foxe, we would like to thank him for all his efforts throughout the years and in particular in his season as president for the 2026/27 season. I wish Brendan Smith every success as the incoming president for this season, in what is a very special year for the club.

On behalf of the squad I would also like to thank all the sponsors for their ongoing support and Presidio as our main Club Sponsor. We look forward to continuing to engage with our sponsors, supporters and the wider community throughout the season, and for all initiatives to celebrate the clubs 150th season.

Finally I would like to thank the club, each of its members and volunteers for their support last season and hope that this year we can count on it again throughout the season. I look forward to seeing you all in Castle Avenue soon …. and in the bar afterwards!

Up the Bulls.
