It is my great honour and privilege as President of Clontarf Football Club to extend a warm and hearty welcome to all our visitors to Castle Avenue during the season and indeed to all those who visit our website and social media pages during the year. I am also pleased to have the opportunity to welcome all our Club members and supporters and hope that you will continue to attend and support all of our league fixtures at senior, junior and indeed underage levels.
Our 1st XV had a good season last year, just missing out the play-offs by a point, and I feel sure we can look forward to an exciting and successful year with the senior squad we have assembled this season. I would like to wish our incoming Captain, Michael Noone, all other team captains, coaches, and backroom personnel every success this year. Clontarf is determined to stay at the forefront of Irish club rugby and this season I know we are focussed on making a serious challenge to win the All Ireland League
I would like to offer a special word of thanks to all those who volunteer within the Club, who give selflessly of their time to help with the organisation of teams, coaching, medical assistance, fundraising, transport, administration etc. The Club could not function as well as it does without you. I would also like to encourage anybody who is interested in volunteering to do so.
I would like to thank all of our sponsors, in particular our main sponsor, Willis Tower Watson, & its CEO, Brian Curtis, who has been a great supporter of Clontarf over the years. I would also like to thank New Ireland, Ulster Bank, Clontarf Castle and MSL for their continued sponsorship. I would ask all members and supporters to make a conscious effort to support our sponsors, where possible during the year.
I wish you all a very enjoyable 2018-2019 season, and I look forward to meeting as many as you as possible throughout the year.
