Could parents please check the aluminium studs on the players boots also and change them if they are sharp please. Please discourage the players from walking to and from the club with the boots on as this causes the aluminium studs to sharpen and may result in deep cuts .
Please be respectful for the coaching staff and arrive on time. This makes their job a lot easier and in turn a more enjoyable experience for the kids.
COACHES & COACHING
Coaching is done on a volunteer basis and the coaches that run all these sessions at all levels of mini and youth rugby at the club do so as a way to contribute to the community of Clontarf and the surrounding area.
All coaches are parents of players and must be members of the club . All lead coaches are certified Lenister rugby coaches and we also have certified First Aiders on hand.
We openly encourage parents to get involved in our training sessions with holding tackle bags or passing a ball to the kids etc however we would ask that you follow closely the instruction given by the coaches and leave the coaching and interaction with the kids to the coaches who have been trained in all aspects of child welfare and child interaction at this level.
Rugby is a game where respect for the Referee, Coaches and fellow players we ask that everyone remembers this.
If you require any further information please contact me.
Info For Parents & Guardians
1. Gum shields – no shield – no play.
2. Please Bring Water for your child.
3. Hats, tracksuit bottoms and gloves in cold weather.
4. DO NOT LEAVE ANY CHILDREN UNATTENDED AT TRAINING, AT ANY TIME.
5. Get involved. Positive encouragement for all the children is vital, most players want to impress their parents, so please try to impress the children.
NOTE: If any parent / guardian has an issue or observation regarding their child please bring notice immediately to a coach.
