JACKMAN WINS PLAYER OF MONTH AWARD
18/02/2007

Clontarf and Leinster hooker Bernard Jackman was voted the Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Player of the Month for January.
Jackman’s star began to rise when he was brought on as a replacement in Leinster’s away Heineken Cup match against Agen and since then he has put in a series of powerful performances most notably against the Llanelli Scarlets at home in Donnybrook when he was voted Man of the Match.
The Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Player of the Month initiative was instigated during season 2003/’04 to give Leinster supporter’s the opportunity to publicly honour the Leinster player they feel went the extra distance for the team.
Jackman joins team mates Denis Hickie, Cillian Willis and Gordon D’Arcy previous winners of the award during the current season.
To mark the award, Bernard receives a specially commissioned trophy designed by award winning Dublin silversmith Seamus Gill.
