Weather was the main winner on Saturday as Clontarf came away from Dungannon with little to show after a solid performance from the pack on a horrendous day for rugby. Dungannon Outhalf Steenson was the main difference with two penalties to one from Clontarf's O'Brien. to be fair he played the elements extremely well and consistently pinned the Dubliners back with excellent line kicking. Clontarf just could not get a foothold in the Dungannon half despite having the stronger pack and when ground was gained it was lost due to bad decision making and sloppy handling.
