CLUB INTERNATIONAL CALL-UP FOR CLONTARF TRIO

Since its inception in 2006 each year’s squad, from which the Ireland Club International side is selected has contained a strong Clontarf representation.
Three players, currently featuring on the Tarf 1st XV; club captain Simon Crawford, Derek Keane and Max Rantz McDonald have all been called into the squad, from which the team to face Scotland on Friday 22nd February will be selected.

For Simon Crawford, this is his second successive year to be called into the squad, having being capped last year in the game against England. He was joined on that team by Niall O’Brien and
Fiach O’Loughlin who both received their second caps in that game.
Derek Keane’s call-up gives him a chance to get his second cap, having also received his first cap in 2006 in that game against Scotland.
Eligibility for selection is confined to non-contacted players playing in the AIL.
